Midwest Baseball Ranks Events and Showcase Teams Will Be Expanded for 2023

NAPERVILLE, IL: Game Day USA, a division of Athletx, is pleased to announce that Jim Hayes has been named National Recruiting Director. Hayes will be involved in recruitment efforts for both team and individual player events, along with the Midwest Cup, an “invitation only” event during which the champion in each age division (9U-13U) will earn a massive traveling trophy. The event will take place in Evansville, Indiana from June 29, 2023 to July 2, 2023.

“After a successful run with the Midwest Baseball Ranks brand, I am excited to take my vision to the next level. Over the past few years, I have found that bringing the best of the best together and facilitating new relationships and friendships through the great game of baseball is my true passion,” said Hayes. “I couldn’t be more impressed with the resources, personnel and infrastructure that Game Day USA and Athletx have in place, and I can’t wait to get started,” Hayes continued.

Top teams and “Players to Watch” will be recognized and profiled throughout the year. The very best players will also be invited to join PROSPECT Teams, which will compete in the original BaseballFest in Panama City Beach, Florida and the new BaseballFest in Mesa, Arizona. Both events take place over Winter Break in modern, all-synthetic-turf venues. Additionally, PROSPECT Teams will be formed to travel to other prestigious events in the Fall and Winter seasons.
